Day Two

Because I wasn't actually sure of the way to bike to school, I left half an hour early so I wouldn't be late.

Ebba and I biked part of the way the same but I think I'll try a different route tomorrow.

We've learn't how to massage all day. About 1½ hours of theory about when and when not to massage a patient. Why massage is good and so on.

Then we massaged each other for about 6 hours. Back, neck, bum and legs :P By the end of the week we're supposed to be able to do a whole body massage.

After school I biked home without getting lost :D Had a shower then went biking again to get a better lay of the land. I found a petrol station and filled up the air in my rear tyre. The part of the wheel by the valve looks bloated, I heard that happens just before you get a puncture..?

Now I'm back at the flat waiting for an e-mail from a guy who's hiring his flat while he has work experience. Fingers crossed! I'm also watching Guess Who with Ashton Kutcher in.

Here's a picture of my class.

First Day

As I was taking the bus this morning to school for the first time, I thought about all the strange names they have for the bus stops. Ostbrickan was the weirdest. The translation roughly means plate of cheese. But the direct translation is “cheese tray”.I saw a roundabout dog on the way to school, which is basically a dog someone’s made and placed on the roundabout. It was a popular thing to do in Sweden for a while, we even had one in Ulricehamn!I took about 20mins to get to the bus station and then I have to walk to school, only takes 5mins though. It cost 15kr for a ticket that lasts 75mins, but I don’t need to worry about that anymore. I bought a bike for 300kr today. It was 400kr but I can haggle ;)

When I got to school there weren’t that many people there and hardly anyone talked so the atmosphere was kinda stiff. But as the day went on everyone became more relaxed and I think everyone is looking forward to really starting tomorrow. We started the day off with some information about the school and what we’ll be learning, then we had a short tour of the school, it’s only on one level but I felt completely lost anyway. Maybe I’ll have to draw a map :P Then we had lunch at Restaurang Viktor very nice food, I was completely stuffed afterwards! Then back to school to spend money on some books 1400kr, could have been worse I guess. I saw my massage bench but I haven’t payed for it yet. At the end of the day we just got more info then we had a group picture taken. We also got a free t-shirt with bergqvist and MASSÖR on, for when we have real clients, only 4 weeks away! Scary! And I had to wear a name tag all day!

When we finished for the day about 3:45, I took a bus to gamla tanneforsvägen to buy a bike I saw on blocket (sort of like eBay), unfortunately I got off on the wrong side of the railroad and had to walk until I found an opening. I finally found the house I was looking for. Really nice house, I knocked on the door and this guy opens the door probably 16-17. Anyways he shows me the bike and I’m a bit skeptical because it looks a bit rusty and the tires are flat. I try it out and the gears and everything seem ok, the tires still feel a bit flat. So I ask him if I can have it 100kr cheaper, he calls his mum (It was her bike), she says 350kr. Then I point out to him that one of the gear wires is detached so he says I can have it for 300kr. Nice guy :P

Took about 45mins to get home which is good considering I had no idea where I was going :P Ebba wasn’t here when I got back so I turned on my laptop and here I am writing. Hope you enjoy the pictures. I’ll see if there is anything worth writing about tomorrow.

Morning!

I wish it was as easy to find a flat as it is a bike. I've already found two available bikes, I'm going to check one of them out today after school.

Anyways quick update before I get the bus. Feeling a bit nervous but hopefully that will pass. Ebba's left already. I didn't sleep very well last night too much to think about I guess.

Lets hope my first day goes well :)

Linköping

So I've finally moved to Linköping. Pretty scary stuff, feels really wierd but I think i'll get used to it. Already missing quiet Marbäck and my loud family ;)

Ebba's flat is really nice and spacious. I thought it was going to be a bit crowded but it's nice.

She's just biked to the shop to get some fish fingers. Pretty hungry right now.

I'm trying to find bus times on the internet but it won't work :( guess i'll have to walk tomorrow :P

I've applied for a couple of flats today, and two bikes. So hopefully i'll get something.

Keep you updated.

Stephenie Meyer

Twilight. New Moon. Eclipse. Breaking Dawn. Midnight Sun.

How does she do it? Captivate you in such a unrealistic world, and yet, make you belive every word of it. Well not really belive, but it seems very real while your reading it. Like somehow supernatural things might exist, who you could interact with.

But unfortunatly it's not quite like that (that we know of). I'm not saying I wouldn't mind some ancient monsters that suck your life from you, I would. I just wouldn't mind meeting a nice vegetarian-vampire. Or maybe a shape shifter or two. I'd find it extremely interessting.

Well a girl can dream. Although I should probablly try not to dream about the impossible.
